I had a thought of a book that will never be written, that would be pure heresy, blasphemes and would destroy the 40K Imperialim, and it's fan base.
Ciaphas Cain and the tasks of the twelve Primarchs
Amberly has multiple breakdowns in the comments and refuses to believe it happened. Cain
and Jurgan travel shenanigans through space and time to meet 12 different Primarch's from both pre and post heresy who each give Cain an impossible task(which he of course is able to complete, much like Hercules did)
The last Primarch is the most surprising. I get tears in my eyes as I thought of it.
It's the Forgotten one. And she's a she. She deliberately asked to be forgotten for the universes sake. It's very sad, as she tells Cain why she had to do it and get Johnny Space to make her not even by remembered by the other Primarch's, for the sake of not her sons or humanity but for the the wider galaxy and continuing existence of the (40K) universe.
Also, she kisses Jurgan who gets told that's the best man in the galaxy for being such a good friend to Cain. I'm crying now as I imagine the scene. Cain's task for her is just to be the only person in the universe who will ever remember her and knew she ever existed.
Amberly has no comment as she's incapable of reading or remembering what happened.
I can just see and hear the rage and fury and amazement if the book title like this was ever released. And it would be glorious. It would be the greatest novel I will ever write, and I will never be able to write as well as I can imagine it this very minute. Were such a book to be written, it would win the Nobel Prize of Literature.
