A new FOGN army concept following the Corona disaster

Following my third FOGN battle that ended in the disaster of the Guards Foot Division being routed from the field, I have modified it.

A new army

Following my third battle (henceforth known as the 1st Battle of Corona), the army has been reformed.

The army is made up of traditional triangle formation - 3 divisions of 3 units each. Each division has a main line unit, a flanking unit and a reserve unit, and the 3 divisions each act as a main line unit (2nd Portuguese), flanking unit (1st Vanguard) and reserve unit (3rd Guard). .

The Portuguese Militia deploy inside the redoubt and don't move for the battle, separate from the rest of the division as they can't change position anyway. If the battle is not a positional defence, they act as a reserve unit and the 2nd Portuguese Line Infantry unit works with its sister unit in the front.

The Cavalry division  splits up with one unit on each flank, or in deep reserve and in March column.

The mix of units - British with Royal Artillery and Rifles, British Light with Rifle, KGL (with attached riflemen and artillery), British Foot Guard, Portuguese Line with Cardores, Portuguese Militia, Spanish, Loyal Lustanian Legion (with attached historical artillery battery), Spanish Guerillas and KGL Hussars and British Light Dragoons makes an interesting mix of units to paint too.
